About ITM
ITM is a privately owned biotechnology and radiopharmaceutical group of companies dedicated to the development, production and global supply of targeted diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals and radioisotopes for use in cancer treatment. We are developing a proprietary portfolio and growing pipeline of targeted treatments in various stages of clinical development addressing cancers such as neuroendocrine cancers or bone metastases. Our main objectives are to significantly improve treatment outcomes and quality of life for cancer patients through a new generation of Targeted Radionuclide Therapies in Precision Oncology. The headquarters are located in the heart of the research center of the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
We would like to fill the following permanent vacancy in a hybrid working model in Garching as soon as possible
Medical Physicist (f/m/d)
Your role
- Develop strategies for radiopharmaceutical diagnostic and post-therapeutic imaging, quantitative analyses, and dosimetry within clinical trials, and provide scientific oversight for their implementation
- Close collaboration and interaction with interdisciplinary teams within ITM to set up and conduct clinical trials
- Use model-informed dose selection and trial optimization strategies for radiopharmaceutical therapy, leveraging population priors, preclinical-to-clinical extrapolation, and PK/PD modeling and simulation, and act as the scientific interface to external vendors and consultants
- Develop and implement simplified dosimetry workflows, reducing imaging burden while allowing for dosimetry assessment for large cohorts in clinical trials
- Together with your colleagues from the I&D team, carry out dosimetry calculations for our clinical trials
- Analyze data from early- and late-phase clinical trials
- Contribute to planning and realizing scientific publications of dosimetry-related data
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Natural Sciences or equivalent background
- Ideally, a PhD in Natural Sciences or similar experience
- Clinical trial experience preferred
- Strong experience in quantitative imaging and dosimetry in Nuclear Medicine
- Solid IT and programming skills e.g. python or Matlab
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent written and spoken English skills
